Embracing Change: From Competing to Finding My Groove

Being deep into CrossFit and all things fitness, I found myself drifting away from the competitive scene. Life got busier, and keeping up with the intense training alongside work, family, and personal growth became a juggling act.

My body started feeling the burnout from constant injuries and overtraining. So, I decided it was time to reprioritise. I shifted my mindset from always chasing victory to embracing a more chill approach to fitness. I started enjoying movement for the sake of it and ditched the stress that came with competition.

Then, I stumbled upon a new love: running my own gym. It wasn't just about my personal achievements anymore; it was about creating a rad community where everyone could thrive in their fitness journeys.

Now, everyone's asking, "What happened? Why don't you want to compete anymore?" Life's full of surprises, and priorities can change. I've learned to take it easy and go with the flow, preventing burnout and keeping my overall well-being in check. While I've stepped away from the competition game, who's to say I won't jump back in when the vibe is right?

Choosing gym ownership over the competitive grind has been a game-changer. Life's a marathon, and I'm enjoying every step. It's cool to switch things up, chill out a bit, and leave the door open for whatever comes my way.

If you're going through changes in your life, just know it's like a big adventure ride. Things can shift, and that's okay. Taking care of yourself is a big deal, whether you're changing up your fitness routine or setting new personal goals.

Maybe you're deciding to take it easy on the intense competition stuff, and that's totally cool. It's not just about hitting personal bests; it's about enjoying the whole journey. Life can throw surprises at you, leading you to new things you didn't expect but might end up loving.

So, breathe, think about what's important to you, and be ready for new opportunities. Being flexible and making changes is a strong move, and the real win is in finding a path that feels good for you. Whether you're moving fast or taking it slow, savour each step of the adventure. The finish line might keep changing, but the experiences you gather along the way make it a cool and meaningful journey.
